The Blues won’t ask
permission
as it infiltrates
your soul
Each riff a lesion
around your heart
each wail
heartbreak untold
The Blues wont grant
forgiveness
for those roads on which
you strayed
But the thing it wills
inside you
is the mojo
— that you play

Blues Poem #20
'Returning Ten Fold'
He who gives
to the needy
lends to
the Lord
What the moment
forgets
Heaven
remembers
Fortuitous
bounty
awaiting
us all
When giving
not taking
eternity
— tendered

I love the blues but don't play it myself. It's not because I'm sadistic but I work with people that do play it. The music itself is soulful and so are many of the people. A great write Kurt
Thanks Soren, I've always wanted to be Paul Butterfield or Charlie Musselwhite.
You are most welcome Kurt never had a single idol but loved many from Mississippi Blues.
Kurt, these feel lived-in. The blues piece aches without posturing, and the prayer answers it quietly rather than trying to fix it. Together, they feel honest…music and mercy sharing the same breath. Well done. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
"Music and mercy sharing the same breath .... How Beautifully Poetic.
Thank you...😊
