In shadows deep where silence grows,
The world unfolds its hidden woes,
Devastation cloaked in veils unseen,
Whispers of chaos, sharp and keen.
Fires rage where forests once stood tall,
Oceans rise to swallow all,
Yet eyes avert, hearts turn away,
From truths that darken every day.
Beneath the surface, secrets creep,
Silent storms that never sleep,
Diseases born in quiet labs,
Unseen hands that pull the tabs.
Wars ignite in distant lands,
Fuelled by greed’s unyielding hands,
But the stories left untold,
Are the ones that break the soul.
Cities crumble, skies grow dim,
Hope flickers on a fragile limb,
Yet in the noise, the cries unheard,
Are lost beneath the spoken word.
The future hides in shadows cast,
By choices made and echoes past,
Unseen, untold, the coming plight,
A world consumed by fading light.
SO LISTEN CLOSE!, BEYOND THE SCREEN,
TO THE SILENCE, UNSEEN SCENES,
FOR IN THE QUIET, THE TRUTH WILL LIE!
Of all the things we let slip by.
DO NOT LET THIS SLIP BY!
