In this cage of compliance
With my voice muted
They throw their ego at me
And my sanity, looted
Empathy, they say
Just to receive it uninterrupted
All this sensitivity that I have
Has got them naked, busted
I could leave, anytime I want
But the guilt consumes me for a while
Connections & friendships I couldn’t keep
And their being gets selfish, their games get vile.
