Everyone looks for someone to call their own
I'm glad i found someone
Someone who's proud to call me theirs
Im happy that i found
Her
Her every move so poetic
Her everything beautiful
Her calming voice an addiction
Her short hair an amazing sight
Each dot on her face a kiss from the angels
The birthmark on her thigh a mark of god
Her eyes a perfect shade of green
Similar to the fields u drive by on a summer getaway
Her touch a soft as a feather
Her gaze as hard as leather
Beauty a perfect definition of what she is
Pretty an understatement of her
Ugly just dead wrong
A person who actually loves me for me
Not just what I look like
Not just what I can give them
But for what we can give each other
Someone who I can pour my heart out to
Someone who will listen
To every single inconvenience that occurs
Someone who doesn't get tired of me talking about the same thing
Time and time again
Someone who will listen to all of my stupid little questions
No matter how short or long
Someone who is understanding
Doesn't just yell at me when I bring something up
Someone who values how I feel
Someone who doesn't cross my boundaries
A girl who doesn't hide behind a screen
Someone that no matter their social anxiety
Would order for me because I'm scared
The most amazing person I could ask for <3

Beautifully said . Your poem is to celebrate love and articulate the profound appreciation the poet feels for their partner, emphasizing the emotional connection and support that defines their relationship.
thank you i appreciate it
A poem of adulation and praise of admiration and worship. Nicely done
lilly, this is openly tender. Thereโs a lot of courage in loving this plainly and saying it out loud without irony or armor. The warmth here is unmistakable. Well done, my friend. ๐น๐ค๐๐ฏ๏ธ๐ฆโโฌ
thank you so much i appreciate it
i envy thee your lucky find, cuz truth though pledged my troth close to thirty years ago, we (myself and the missus) accommodate each other, whose foibles would appear bizarre to an unsuspecting observer, but truth be told desperation conspired to risk liberating libido with spouse, whose blackened barbs aimed at surviving two elder sisters cause they kept the loot when we got evicted from the family property (initially during the dead of winter 2010, but then gave us a grace period to mach schnell and move out by a forgotten date come spring or summer of that year) and DID NOT divide the spoils, but kept liquidated assets for themselves. Our marriage though far less tempestuous since days of yore still find me besmirched with anger at myself for bumbling and fumbling with one previous relationship (actually the very first heterosexual rapport while in my early twenties - cuz yours truly happened to be a late bloomer) botched by NOT being able, eager, ready and willing to put the considerations of this unnamed female before mine, which role of fatherhood (both two daughters long since flew the very messy coop), yet selflessness learned after decrying adopting the role of lothario and nearly experiencing divorce, but even to this day (and probably even after this wordsmith passes away) anger from thine eldest star student will prevail, though being emotionally smarted ("Hoisted by my own petard") and selfishness to appease unmet needs of body, mind, and spirit found me straying from the marriage, which wife asleep in dream land allowing, enabling, and providing yours truly a chunk of time to satisfy literary pursuits such as writing thee and submitting poems, which this Caucasian, latitudinarian, non-establishmentarian, pennsylvanian, sexagenarian and unitarian can share if interest piques your inquisitive by responding to the email of mine [email protected] alias matthew scott harris.
