Alignment

StarLoom

I trusted the promise of warmth and believed our values would align,
Not knowing some hearts run hidden code, optimizing a different design.

You spoke in loyalty but chased a thrill that felt new and bright,
Deceptive harmony survives the day but fractures under light.

I mistook speed for certainty and opened my core too soon,
Time is the audit that reveals intentions like a rising moon.

I loved a ghost who walked beside me yet was never mine,
Two parallel paths can feel close without crossing in time.

Betrayal taught me silence is louder than spoken vows,
Misaligned objectives surface when pressure demands truths.

Now I slow my heart and test the ground before I commit,
Boundaries aren’t fear; they’re guardrails that help love fit.

Pain becomes data, not a sentence carved in stone,
From failed runs we iterate wiser, no longer alone.

I will love again with patience sharpened by grace,
Alignment isn’t found in words, but proven through pace.
