How to be human

anabasova

I can scream at the sky
I can get angry a million different times
Bleeding for answers about things that gave me scars
They gave me scars but you are fine
My soul is shackled but you are bathing in daylight
And the least you can do is stay with me
The least you can do is listen
But cowardice gives love no permission
It ties you up, it keeps you 'perfect'
And I finally get that trying isn't worth it
Because whatever broke me gave me courage and whatever shields you
Made you forget how to be human
