THE DESERTED BOY

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Your tears burn
To centre heart
The little boy
Blue eyes shine
Into a pool
Of heated pain
Will you ever see
Your dad again ?

For a reason
None can comprehend
An evil act
Desertion sends
Its cruel blow
No presents sent
Upon your birthday
No xmas spent.

Your confusion bites
Deep to soul
The love seems lost
A bitter blow
How can we reason
Or explain ?
To the little boy
Dad is not coming home.
