Those eyes, they made me fall so hard for you, every single time we crossed paths.
I dreamed it meant forever, you know? Like, endlessly.
I was hooked on your voice before I even looked at you.
Every touch, every kiss, it felt like you were saying I was yours, completely.
When days got rough, that voice was my hug, calming everything down.
But we weren't meant to be.
So why would you even show up in my life?
I never saw how toxic you were, fell for every word, then got crushed by them.

Illusion to dissolution in this poem. Nothing worse than the disenchantment of fallen expectations. A good poem of the process and regret that follows. Nicely written
