………What if what could have been, could become a ghost, over lapping the present with spirits that never had a host, to what could’ve should’ve been you see their shadowy silhouettes give toast, I see ghostly images of us being friends, even though I hated you the most; it can’t be merely visions of everyday concerns haunting me it must be a ghost, I’m not the only one who sees these apparitions it’s all over social media posts, about we were kings with kingdoms up and down the Ivory Coast, it’s these phantoms of unnamed black kings, that keeps us underdeveloped the most, makes some think we no longer have to achieve, and it’s okay for us to coast.
