Missing You.

Job Welime

Every moment I am away from you,

I feel the silence eating at me,

like a wound that refuses to heal.

You have carved your name so deep inside me

that even my thoughts bleed your presence.

I carry you in the quiet

in the spaces between heartbeats,

in the pauses where my breath forgets its rhythm.

The world keeps moving,

but something in me stays behind with you,

refusing to catch up.

Loving you feels like gravity

unseen, undeniable, pulling me home

no matter how far I drift.

And maybe that’s the truth of it:

you are not someone I miss…

you are someone I return to,

again and again,

even when you are not here.
