Mr. Unknown

Allie561

Dear Mr. Clueless,

How did you not see the love in my eyes?

How did you not hear admiration in my voice?

Dear Mr. Sadness,

I was there for you and every one of your cries

I was willing to help you but it wasn’t my choice

Dear Mr. Lost,

There was a map on my heart if you would only look

There was a lantern in my hand to guide you through the dark

Dear Mr. Past,

I’m still missing pieces of myself that you took

I’m sure that when people look at me your name is written, a glowing mark

Dear Mr. Life,

I loved you

Creative this poem treats aspects of thought, emotion, the existential, time as a person and resolves it in the enjoyment of life itself. Nicely done

This turned up on one of those tails to something else...
So after all that how are you faring?
Many moons ago I explored this general topic... Hopefully only part is relevant to you:

Well I’ve been managing to say the least. I appreciate you checking in Dave, and the link to your poem. Unfortunately I was blinded for quite some time, but I’m thankful I was able to realize that to help myself I had to let go. It is a very difficult situation to be stuck in, and somehow I seem to be just fine without him.

Not 'somehow' - you did it through strength of character and at the same time learnt from the experience.
            Good luck for the future.
