    Is Ireland as mythical as the Shire and if so does England represent the real world? A lovely poem and Dublin the edge of the earth

      Soren, you`re always the first to comment on these rhymes I post. You are the most.... wait a minute, I already said that to you before!
      I like your question. When I sojourned in Ireland, a friend said that The Shire was in Ireland, whether Tolkien consciously knew it or not. Later on, I read that the name "England" came from the name "En-Gael-Land." Divide and rule.....
