THE LURCHLESS MOON

cerry

The moon looked lonely tonight

It was a full moon and the only source of light for the dark dawn

It almost looked peaceful in its loneliness

The moon then dazzled me with light

The blissful air at dawn was quite beautiful

It smelled of life and a new day

Then came the fruit bats,

A reminder of blind danger

The day faded, and night engulfed me

I let out a whirlwind of rain

Downpour has never felt so tranquil

In a blink of an eye, the thunder got loud

And the moon forgot me
