Moving Forward

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Trying to tread carefully, foot after foot,

I feel everything like a mentally deep cut,

Unravelled carpet was hiding a cigarette butt.

Moving forward slowly after I previously stopped,

Viewpoints change up when growth is unlocked,

Unwanted and unviewed like a film that flopped.

Presenting a picture that not all will experience,

Comprehension is floundered, your too dense,

Those who have faith forever feel a presence.

This poem presents to me the starting point for most a block to push off of. Nicely worded

Shaun, this is about movement that isnโ€™t triumphant, just necessary. Small steps, hidden damage, changed perspective, and a quiet sense of presence underneath it all. Itโ€™s restrained, reflective, and grounded. Well done. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›
