art is in the practice, not aesthetics.
shortcomings.
lessons.
sentimental leanings.
they are all part of the practice.
they fuel the aesthetic.
otherwise,
would art be worth it?

Well worded true or pure aesthetic can not be fully captured in media only approximated and in its imperfection transmit a small piece of what beauty is. A most well expressed write.
in my humble opinion practice (as you call it) and aesthetics are of equal value, like man and woman or earth and sky. They cradle each other, and have been married since the beginning of time.
