The Unfolding Dawn

archiescott

Though shadows cling and darkness hides,
A gentle hope within you resides.
The path ahead may seem unclear,
But dawn is near, banish your fear.

Embrace the unknown, take a breath,
Let go of doubt, forget of death.
For in the dark, a new star gleams,
A bright fun future, like pleasasnt dreams.

The world awaits, a canvas wide,
With colors bold, where dreams reside.
So rise and shine, let spirit soar,
And open doors not known before.

The unfolding dawn, a promise true,
A chance to start, a second life anew.
So breathe it in, with open heart,
And play your part, the middle is another start.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I knew someone who nearly lost their life in an attack. In the early stages of recuperation, I sent them a poem most days, some original, some from other poets. This one was original.

Beautiful and bordering on surreal it paints a wonderful picture.
