And there were his ideas
Spread across the wall
With bits of skull
And brain matter
Ideas unrealised
Scrambled more
Now than
When they were in his head
His matter dripped
Across the floor
As they heaved
Him into a black body bag
And zipped him up
And a neighbour from down the hall
Wearing his wifes slippers and dressing gown
United so his dirty white boxers were on show
Peered through the doorway and
said - what a waste
So young, what could have drove him to this.
And I would have liked to feel
His neck in my hands.
It would drive you too if you let it
I’d say
If only you would see it
I’d tell him
If only you had it
I’d cry
And let it invade you
And ravage you
As he did.
But yes. What a waste.
