Listen to the Wind

cully45

Listen to the Wind

What does it say today?

Will it tell me you love me?

In each and every way

Will the clouds still show pictures?

Of your face up in the sky

And will I see your lovely smile

As they gently pass me by

Will there be a Rainbow

After some morning rain

All those colours etched into my mind

Of passion until we meet again

When the Sun comes shining down

Casting a shadow walking next to me

It’s like you are with me right away

On my arm where you should always be

The Wind doth blow, and the Sun doth shine

Just like my thoughts of you in my heart

All I can say with fortitude

Thank God for my friends who are with me, always

When we are far apart

A great poem of friendship and how distance makes little difference. Nicely written

  • Friendship

Nicely written. Your poem reflects on love, the beauty of nature, and the importance of friendship. The speaker finds solace in the wind, sun, and other natural elements, which serve as reminders of a loved one and the bonds of friendship.
