If you heard
A fire-breathing dragon
Big enough to cover the sun
Was vertically approaching Earth
Would you feel trepidation?
Or would you exclaim
"I got an Imagination!"?

A matter of perspective in this poem set in a fanciful thought applies to so many things. Nicely said
For sure! In some ways, it`s fanciful. Thanks as always for reading and commenting. It`s amazing you even have time to write poems, Soren!
You are most welcome my friend and we all make time for what we enjoy
You got me with this, Mutley. The imagery invites fear, then undercuts it with self-awareness in a way that feels playful but pointed. Imagination as threat and refuge at once. Nicely done. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks a million! "Imagination as threat and refuge." Very well put!
You are welcome...and thank you, too!
