Damsel in
distress
Virtue
to redress
Reputation
scorned
Honor
most forlorn
On the field
we face
Lances
and a mace
Blood to burnish
clean
Lies
— that death redeems

Such a lovely recounting of an ancient story where sacrifical blood is the only thing that redeems be it sins or accusations. We all need a redeemer. Lovely write Kurt
Thanks Soren. I was having a King Arthur / Count of Monte Cristo moment.
Love both those stories you are most welcome Kurt
Kurt, this is stark and cutting. The compression gives it force…every word feels sharpened, ceremonial, and unforgiving. It hits hard without excess. Well done!🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
I'm glad it hit home. Thanks TR.
Most welcome, Kurt!
