She'll love with doubt

Anas Merchant

If she should love she'll love with doubt,

And all that's pure will come undone,

What sleeps below her skin will shout,

And dark shall claim what light begun

A touch that leads a look that calls

Which calm and cold does she belong?

So Wait till all her curtains fall

And kiss her where she is not strong

To have her lost and so confused

So many thoughts she works upon

All peace and cure she has refused

To die a strange phenomenon

So between what’s said and unsaid

A dance of hearts inside of hell

Now think if I was gone or dead

Who’ll teach my pen to write so well?
