Reunion

Hush, open your heart and I will tell you

of the joy of reunion.

Imagine, 6 children, bound together in poverty and the chore of raising one another. All who knew the family, knew that it would not be mom and dad that would bring these young ones stability and growth.

Gasp, when, one morning, all would change, and the 6 were scattered  and left searching.  Mother had surrendered them to uncertain futures, and set off to loose herself.

Feel their loss, as the years and decades passed, some would become parents, and see one another’s eyes gazing back from the faces of their babies.   All, (except the youngest, who would not have the gift/burden of memory), would daily wonder “What has become of them?”

Rejoice, when in the 41st year of their searching, they each were found, they each gazed in the eyes of brothers and sisters, and felt embrace and forgiveness.  I am one of these six.  For me, life is now more full of wonder because we six are present in one another’s love.

Hush, find joy and celebrate reunion.
