Split on political policies, is it left or right?
Killing those braincells with whiskey all night.
Football fixtures, a derby game for distraction,
Wake the fuck up, God sent me this caption!
Comparisons on jobs and money that's paid,
I believe that our spirits are daily being slayed.
Vibes taken down by a posh presenter on Sky News,
Taught to obey by secondary and primary schools.
Arguing about 2020 lockdowns being a test or not,
Analysing footage, were Trump and Kirk really shot?
Feeling fragile, trying to discern what's fact from fiction?
An alien nation that's built on fear, control and division.
Standing together and united seems to be a massive shot in the dark,
Luckily I can switch deep thoughts off and just walk round a park,
Receiving visceral visions similar to Joan of Arc,
Demons attack minds, doctors call it mental health,
Watch while droves are misdiagnosed, medicated in stealth.
The gloves are off because at times I'm tired and weary,
This planet feels fake like your favourite rapper's jewellery.

Wait, Mick Jagger was on Alien Nation? LOL! Just kidding, of course. (He does kinda draw that vibe in the pic, no?) A raw snapshot, Shaun. The poem reads as a collision of media, fear, belief, and burnout, and the lack of resolution feels intentional. It reflects how disorienting it can be to live inside constant noise. Strong, unfiltered work, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Haha it does look like him doesn't it, thanks pal.
It sure does! Paint it black on Alien Nation! LOL!
It sure does! Paint it black on Alien Nation! LOL! Most welcome, my friend.
It is hard to know what to believe these days. A poignant poem well done
Thank you.
You are so welcome
Yep, the one on the right looks a tad like.... we know who! lol.
With demons, I don't deny their existence, but tend to think some folk may be oppressed, even possessed by then, only as a last line of thought type of thing.
I hear you, haha E.T.
And - good write Joan (of Arc), erm, SM. Just call me Napoleon - gone bit nutty! lol.
Lol.
Your pins get stronger and more pointed all the time, Shaun. I'm for the commitment.
Now it might come as no surprise that I haven't got a favourite rapper, (oh please!) but I still think your last line is a beauty!
Thanks very much pal, haha rap has gone down the drain.
