The Loneliness of Love

cully45

Sometimes when we are apart

It pulls deeply at the heart

No longer holding you and feeling your magic touch

Goes to show I miss you oh so much

Thoughts abound within my mind

Of how you are so sweet and kind

A thousand miles we may be apart

But our love has been etched from the very start

I feel you near, I hear your voice

Always thinking of you, that’s my choice it seems

Because my heart is yours forever, just like in my dreams

It’s lonely when you are so far away

But I wait, sit and pray

That time will pass swiftly to the day

When we are together for evermore

So when I hear that knock upon the door

And into each other’s arms we fall in deep embrace

With my hand can caress that wondrous face

Feel that kiss that sends me wild with lust

And my heart pounding fit to bust

I know the loneliness has gone at last

The hurt is put back into the past

Now together we will always be

The two of us in perfect harmony

A most romantic love poem that calls out for union and acceptance. Nicely written.
