NOVISSIMOS

Carlos Alberto BUSTILLOS

NOVISSIMOS

In the last things,
beyond this life,
this life that drifts away.

At the very end.

At the conclusion of living,
walking toward the final judgment,
toward my own judgment.

Where the soul
stands bare,
without secrets,
poor soul.

Where it ends,
at the end of all things,
where no lies remain.

A naked soul before judgment,
on the far side of everything,
while I am no longer here.

My body lingers,
but the soul
slips away.

NOVISIMOS

En las postrimerías,
más allá de esa vida,
esa vida que se aleja.

En el propio término.

En la conclusión de vivir,
caminando al juicio final,
en mi propio juicio.

Donde el alma
se desnuda,
sin secretos,
pobre alma.

Donde acaba,
en el final de todo,
donde no hay mentiras.

Alma desnuda en el juicio,
en el otro lado de todo,
mientras ya no estoy,
mi cuerpo sigue,
pero el alma
se me va.

And it is in that moment that we see our own faults and in that mirror of judgment we become the judge and executioner. A lovely write
