He Lifts Her Up

GenXer Sharon πŸ™πŸ€

When she’s on her own holding onto nothing but her faith; He raises her up; it’s Him she thanks. When the world and all it’s going through tries to tear her apart; she leans on her Heavenly Father to help guard her mind along with her heart. When life throws the curveball day after day. She leans on Her Heavenly Father for strength. She is not perfect and never claimed to be. She realizes now people will see what they choose to believe. She knows life itself isn’t perfect. She holds onto the truth she’s read because there she’s learned trials are also worth it. So when people try to hurt her with words, silence, or degrading names; He raises her up and calls her beloved, mine, and washes away the pain.

  • Comment from author about the poem: The world is certainly not all bad. There is beauty in it. Instead of just making an assumption based on appearances maybe just maybe getting to know the person for yourself would open one’s eyes.
