Orbiting Fate

Aman 12

Speech is a peacock on parade,
Silence is a tortoise in the shade,
A jungle needs both flash and fade.

Speech is a sail that loves the breeze,
Silence the tide that shapes the seas,
A voyage needs both drift and ease.

Speech is a horse that loves to neigh,
Silence is grass that grows its own way,
A meadow needs both voice and sway.

Speech is a flame that leaps to speak,
Silence is the coal that warms the meek,
A hearth needs both to shape its peak.

Speech and silence only orbit fate,
its ears who hear little and eyes that live to speculate
yet claim they caught the whole debate.
