Lies I’ve believed

Allie561

How can it be a fire burns yet keeps you warm?

An orange-colored autumn storm

It traps you in its blazing gaze

It can hold you there for many days

Accept its touch and ash you’ll become

Something you can’t run away from

You’ll feel betrayed

But it’ll still cut like a blade

Create or destroy, it’s your choice

But you’ll always hear the calling voice

A wonderful poem that speaks of the two aspects of fire the blending of colors. It speaks of the hypnotic force of fire. It speaks of its destructive and creative properties and lastly how it calls to us all like a siren. It also may be seen as a metaphor for passion. A fave

Thank you for the read Soren. Yes fire tends to be very tempting at times and it can be difficult to resist, especially with all the vibrant colors.
