The abyss

_Doc_

In gloom so deep where heartache lies,

A soul once bright, now dimmed by sighs.

A gentle heart, with kindness sewn,

Yet love eluded, left him alone.

With every glance, a fleeting chance,

Yet fate conspired in cruel dance.

He reached for light, but darkness crept,

In silence whispered, dreams adept.

Though good was he, the world so cold,

Left love untold, a story old.

In silent night, the echoes cease,

A hope extinguished, seeking peace.
