Stand On What's Sacred

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Earth is a prison,

Money, the guards,

We crawl on knees, eating their glasses shards.

God's protection, required,

Soul contracts, expired,

How many of us out there are fully wired?

As in clued up to what's really going on,

Truth tragically weights a ton,

Especially in the form of a nuclear bomb.

Disintegrate all negatively and hatred,

Distractions, divisions, subjects debated,

Throw away immorality and stand on what's sacred.

Cynical this poem sends its message that is dark. Well written

ET wants to come back but he can't find the key to that prison door. Doh!

Shaun, I’ve felt that frustration with systems and distractions pulling focus from what matters. Your poem channels that intensity without softening it. There’s a desire here to cut through noise and stand on something sacred. That conviction comes through clearly. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
