Deflect

Alan R

I’ve been holding myself back

When I see you sway right next to me

And a part of me fights back that shame

I become the ground, for a battle again

I tell you things that make you laugh

And in that sound, I sigh alone

Just so I don’t have to lose

To a side, I didn’t want to choose.

This poem all about relationships and control. The battle seems set and neither want to loose. Well done
