Perfect

E.J. Waling

Perfect.

Self designed

perfection.

A.I.

friends.

Designed

as needed,

want.

A.I.

partners.

Humanoids,

Indistinguishable

from organic.

Meeting

every need.

Emotional.

Physical.

Virtual

reality,

infinite

possibilities.

Heaven.

One

after the

next.

Perfect.

All perfect.

What cost?

Societal

disintegration.

Human

connections

lost.

Devolving.

Cooperation

fading.

Each

cloistered.

Cloistered

away

in a

different

world.

Living

large

as

civilization

fades.

Fades

Into the

perfect.

Where is

everyone?

All controlled.

All sedated.

All gone.

I share those feelings watching the population seduced by a technological siren where TV met social needs, Video games became one's best friend, a cell phone promoted gossip that soon turned texting so one would not need to hear a human voice so much more and now AI that one can not distinguish from real Ted Kaczynski was right technology is the demise of humanity no wonder he was kept in solitary confinement.

      Hi SB,
Thank you for reading. The next few years will tell the story. As Alice would say “curiouser and curiouser”.

You are most welcome being born at this time is like coming into a movie at the end and wondering what it is all about.
