The Sweetest Song

Corsario_colombiano_83

I fondly listen to the strumming of the guitar,

A lovely and lively Latin melody begins to play

Like the sweetest song that fills the air

Whenever I hear your delicate, feminine voice.

Those bewitching green eyes that entrance me

Like a pair of rare, magic emeralds

Made to protect me and lull me to sleep

While I safely and endlessly dream of you.

Your long, beautiful, and silky chestnut brown hair

Of a scent more fragrant than lavender and orange blossom;

Your soft skin, precious face and petite, slender body

Sculpted and painted by nature's own genius hand.

The spirited and sultry tune comes together

Giving an acoustic expression to your irresistible appeal;

Your graceful movement, your sensual rhythm

As fiery, flowing, and rapturous as a bonfire ritual dance.

What I wouldn't give to be to the greatest virtuoso

To compose and play for you the greatest masterpieces;

What I wouldn't give to be the finest instrument

Made just to serenade you, the brightest red carnation.

Musician and instrument are fused together into one

Paying passionate homage to your unique beauty;

Finally, as the music ends and the guitar rests,

I lay down my head, offering my heart and soul.
