February

cellinic

The crystal sheen of snow and thaw
Beneath the golden sunlight flashes.
Our February though bound by law,
Relinquishes its reins, yet clashes.

It lives and dreams in colors bright,
It softens now, its power waning.
It longs for spring and fades from sight,
In warmth and light no more remaining.

The parting snow has swept the floor,
The trees and trails to heavens soaring.
The frost is kind, it bites no more.
The woods will wake as birds start pouring.

A beautiful description of nature in the transition of seasonal changes but it seems metaphor also applies

Cellinic, this holds the thaw beautifully. “Relinquishes its reins, yet clashes” gives it motion, and “The frost is kind, it bites no more” settles it into acceptance. It’s winter stepping aside without drama. Gentle, polished, and quietly hopeful. Love it, my friend.🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

February is well described here; the anticipated lessening of winter's grip & promise of what's ahead. Nicely done.

This captures the bittersweet beauty of February's thaw - winter loosening its grip, nature awakening. Beautiful!!!
