The eyes of the sun

marissa

I want to see the eyes of the sun

Face his pupils directly

I pray to watch the fire in his heart

Feel it’s hunger grow on my skin

On my pale shoulders i want to feel him shine

In my frigid heart, i know he’ll turn on a light

With his sharp temperature,i hope to feel alive

Please let me see the eyes of the sun

Protect yourself from these solar passions that burn hearts .

The want has been expressed in a kinetic way (don't know if that is the right wird). It has a quiet dignified energy. Loved it!

A most metaphoric write that speaks to me in understanding the light of truth. Nice

The sun, that bright thing in the sky that Britain has made redundant.
Oh, please come back, I'm bloody freezing.

            Very valid complaint

Marissa, this burns with longing. It feels desperate in a beautiful way…like reaching straight into light without flinching. There’s a hunger here that feels both physical and spiritual. The repetition at the end seals it. Strong piece. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️

nice to turn your face towards the sunshine, but remember that too much of it, and there is the possibility of being burnt, so beware...
