A dream for the future.
A wish in the sky.
A hope for our dreams.
A love who’s not shy.
A care for the elderly.
A passion for the young.
And a sunny sunday roast.
That’s where life makes you a host.
So beware of crossing pathways.
So love your neighbours and feed the rough strays.
And make sure you remember your ghosts.
Those forgetting them repeat mistakes most.
That’s the rule book of everyday.
Seek balmy days when the air is grey.

Truly honourable comment coming from you!
Well deserved
A lovely poem. Full of positivity.
Thank you!!
Marissa… I resonate with that call to remember our ghosts and stay mindful of the past. There’s maturity in that. And the way you end it, “Seek balmy days when the air is grey” feels like choosing hope on purpose. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
I really appreciate it,it definitely took a bit to change from my usual depressive poems to a positive one, haha
