Upon Hero's Wings

Tristan Robert Lange

Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Friends, I’m doing my best to keep up with comments. 😅 I’m still current on my own poems and first replies on others’ work, but this season has been a bit of a twister. Figured I’d drop a quick note so you don’t think I’ve vanished or gone flaky.
Read. Write. Rise. Realize. 🤘💀🖤
Hera’s wrath still falling,
Enraged at infidelity’s spawn;
Rebellion is hope’s wings,
Alcmene’s appeal for accountability.
Credence no longer given,
Lament is next of kin;
Everyone, however, has their moment;
Soar with your given wings and be free.

    A wonderful acrostic Tristan with Myth as a backbone and background. Zeus was a naughty boy and a demigod was left and although this time not crucified still had labors to fulfill. A wonderful write and a fave

    • Tristan Robert Lange

      Soren, you caught the spine of it…myth holding up consequence, labor shaping identity. The legend is dramatic, but the heart of it is endurance. I’m glad that came through. Always appreciate your keen eye and presence, my friend. 🪽⚡🔥🙏

        Always mot welcome Tristan

      • Friendship

        Well written. Your poem reflects on themes of jealousy, infidelity, and the quest for accountability in relationships, particularly through the lens of mythological figures like Hera and Alcmene. It suggests that despite the pain and betrayal, there is hope for liberation and personal growth.

          My friend, you summarized the heart of it beautifully. Jealousy, betrayal, consequence…yet still the possibility of ascent. That balance matters to me. Thank you for reading it with such care and insight, as always. Appreciate you greatly, my dear friend. 🪽⚡🔥🙏

          Love this! The names make the mind search for Skamander, even🕊️🙏🏻

          • Tristan Robert Lange

            My friend, I love that your mind went wandering through the riverbanks of myth. That’s exactly the kind of echo I hoped the names would stir. Grateful it sparked that search in you and for your insights, always. 🪽⚡🔥🙏

            It's a pity that P and Co have taken on wings now and are flying! Brollies needed. Why? Don't answer that! lol.
            What ARE we talking about? Don't answer that either! lol.

            • Tristan Robert Lange

              🤣 Glug on, Orchi! The poem grew wings, you added storm warnings, and now we’re all standing here pretending we don’t hear the distant glug of approaching Baters. I am not answering anything, poet's honor. 🤣 🪽⚡🔥🙏

              • orchidee

                We'll swoon if we answer each other's questions! lol.

                This has the very distinct flavour of roast Phoenix about it .. and there aint nobody not going to like it .. Neville 🖤🐦‍⬛🐈‍⬛🍷🐧👍

                  Neville, that Phoenix nod feels perfectly placed…flame, fall, and flight all wrapped together. I’m glad the energy carried through. Always grateful for your sharp eye and kind spirit, dear friend. 🪽⚡🔥🙏
