I met her
on the boardwalk ramp
and said ...
“You Have Nice Eyes”
The Gypsy Lady
fixed her gaze
my hand in hers
replied ...
“White hates black
and black hates white
their fear right now
forbids
“Division preys
to rule the land
fate drifting
on the skids
“But just remember
this one thing
if we are
to survive
“Coffee colored kids
will reign
to save our souls
— demise”

Prejudice a cancer that leaves canker and rancor stems from prehistoric times. Esmeralda reminds me of the Hunchback of Notre dame. A most lovely write Kurt a fave
Thanks .... TRUE STORY. I was on my way to Woodstock.
You are most welcome Kurt that's a great story
Kurt, this is bold…what begins as a simple encounter turns quickly into something prophetic and charged. There’s an edge to it that refuses to stay polite. It feels like a moment that lingers long after it passes. Well done, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks TR, it's based on a true story. I had just left my job on the boardwalk in
Ocean City N.J. and was headed to the Garden State Parkway to hitchhike to
Woodstock.
