For far too long, you have let them walk all over you,
Putting yourself to Hell, trying to accommodate people after everything they put you through.
Trying so hard to keep the peace, but slowly destroying yourself in the process,
Completing changing who you are and everything you believe in, just for the small chance that you will get a yes.
Every time you try your best, you end up falling apart in the end,
Losing faith in the people that you thought were your friend.
This time it feels different than before,
And you realize that you can't take it anymore.
You won't allow it to end the same way,
Because you have come too far, and gotten yourself out of those dark days.
Instead of allowing yourself to roll over and die,
You remembered all the words they told you, the ones that were full of hatred and lies.
The ones that made you fall apart,
The ones that left scares on your heart.
The ones that made you finally come crashing down,
The ones that left you gasping for air as you continued to drown.
Something in you changed this time, something you had never experienced before,
And something broke deep inside of you, something that made you realize what you needed to fight for.
Instead of letting it destroy you, you allowed the words they said to light a fire,
And it instilled in you this burning desire.
This desire to fight twice as hard and prove them all wrong,
And made you realize that they did not weaken you, but they actually helped to make you strong.
They gave you a reason to continue to fight,
To make them pay for all the tears you cried at night.
For making you feel like you weren't good enough for them,
And for hiding those feelings that they were trying to make you condemn.
One by one you put the pieces back together,
And you forced yourself to finally get better.
To take everything that happened and use it as a way to keep going,
And you did it in private, to prevent them from knowing.
One day you jsut reappear like you never did before,
But you realized that you don't want them anymore.
That if they couldn't take you then, then they don't deserve this new you,
So instead of being apart of it, they just get to sit back and enjoy the view.
