For Light To Shine (+1)

Kurt Philip Behm

Neither

happiness

nor misery

But the

kinship

they imbue

He who feels

the deepest

grief

Is to joy

most open

to

Life dissolves

without

context

No moment

stands

alone

For light

to shine

it needs the dark

Wherein

the truth

— is shown

(Dreamsleep: February, 2026)

Lest We Forget ...

First

Last

And Always

— Have Something To Say

Wonderful Kurt in a most poetic form this poem speaks to the need for dualities there can be no good without evil no light without dark, no truth without falsehood. Nicely written my friend

Well written. So true, you emphasize that one cannot exist without the other.

    Thank you.

Kurt, this balances philosophy and clarity well. The structure keeps it distilled, almost aphoristic, but the emotion is real. “For light / to shine / it needs the dark” holds the center, and “— Have Something To Say” turns reflection into resolve. Strong, thoughtful piece. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

    And I thank you, again.
