A Pyramid Prison

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Carrying on with hopes, keep on wishin',

The reality is we live in a pyramid prison.

Elton John sung Sacrifice for a real reason,

Atrocities will be punished, you best be believin'.

Whether its for Moloch, Baal or that goat Baphomet,

Dealing with demons leaves a soul tarnished and with regret.

The last two lines are most catchy in their rhyme and the message comes through. Nicely written

Shaun, this is confrontational in a purposeful way. The pyramid metaphor frames the critique, and the invocation of darker symbols pushes it into spiritual territory. It’s less about shock and more about consequence. “Dealing with demons leaves a soul tarnished and with regret.” closes it with gravity. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

I've always noticed that people who sacrifice things, never sacrifice themselves.
Assume sacrificing gives them some sort of deranged power they covet.

Indeed, selfish ones seem to prosper unfortunately.

I found this quite thought provoking, a pyramid prison implies we are all just being sold a jail cell, which is possible. Atrocities should be punished but in this world it appears to just gain the perpetrators more power and control, going unchallenged. Those who side with these people should have tarnished souls, but will they have regret , I am not sure they would, enjoyed the read
