Dear Earth,
what a beauty queen you are.
I’m sorry
because I envy you.
In the disguise of the sun, the moon, the stars
You'll shine whenever you want.
I want to shine too,
But it is always a failure.
You'll never know the struggle.
In the disguise of the sky,
You are the daughter
Who listens to the suffer.
Rain is your tears.
I'm the daughter too.
I listen to the sorrow too
But tears are hidden.
The heaviness you'll never bother.
In the disguise of the river,
You crash against rocks,
You know the life’s troubles.
You hug the ocean,
Your wounds disappear.
I know life’s troubles too,
I have wounds too.
But no painkillers.
Dear Earth,
I hope you are not angry.
I’m sorry
because I envy you.

- Comment from author about the poem: This poem reflects the bias of the universe. Earth is a beautiful young lady, and her life feels like a bed of roses. I am a girl too, but my life feels like a bed of spikes. Why? Even though I want to shine, every time I take a step toward shining, I am brought back to zero. But Earth shines whenever she wants as the stars, the moon, and the sun. I am a daughter, and I am my family’s healer. I listen to their sorrow, and I see every inch of their pain. But my sorrow, my tears, are invisible to them. Earth is the world’s daughter, because when people are sad, they look at the sky for comfort. She listens to their sorrow, and her tears are never hesitant. She cries openly whenever she wants. As a river, Earth knows that life is full of obstacles. She knows that life’s flow is not easy, that it is full of wounds. But she has the ocean to rely on at the end of the day. The ocean heals her wounds. But what about us girls? Our lives are full of obstacles too, but we have no one to rely on. Though you are the family’s healer, the family is never your healer.
