HereWeGoAgain (Full)

Zak McKay

Notice of absence from Zak McKay
Shortly before or after May I will become absent and likely not come back for A LONG TIME. Untill then, I'll be here, maybe.

Here we go again, the year is almost over.

Here we go again, I still don't have a phone.

Here we go again, the fun is almost over.

Here I go again, now I'm all alone.

Something's in my way,

I can almost taste it,

The way the feeling lingers,

Something isn't right,

One day I'm gonna be famous,

Stupid and Contagious,

Standing on a stage, screamin' "Goodnight Adeline."

Here we go again, the year is almost over.

Here we go again, I still don't have a phone.

Here we go again, the fun is almost over.

Here I go again, now I'm all alone.

Sitting in my room,

I see hallucinations,

Thinking of my friends,

I wanna go to sleep,

Imaginary friends, they all keep me company,

As I hit the bed, my eyes finally close

Here we go again, the year is almost over.

Here we go again, I still don't have a phone.

Here we go again, the fun is almost over.

Here I go again, now I'm all alone.

Ooh, now I'm all alone,

Yeah, now I'm all alone.

The beginning of the poem emphasizes how a phone is the only link to socialization and without one, one is alone. A sterile feeling is evoked by this thought and the poem echoes with isolation. Sad is the feeling I am left with. Very nicely written
