Cara mia,
Extravagance isn’t a word for your nightly shine
for the moon isn’t vast enough to contain you.
Your dagger eyes,
the noose around my heart,
electrify me.
My beautiful crazed carnivorous carnation
Everytime a pedal falls,
I do as well.
It is true that I’d die for you,
but a dark romantic life with you is better than any guillotine.
Mia bella,
no words can hold tomes of passion that
my devoted heart has for you.

- Comment from author about the poem: I’ve been wanting to write themed poems and so this is a poem of Gomez Addams writing to his poisonous wife, Morticia Addams.

Hints of Italian in the lines of endearment. A passionate language as was Gomez and Morticia. It is in the darkness that passion is created and somewhere between the Marquis de Sade and the Kama Sutra satisfaction lies. The Adams found it. A fun read
