Have we just ventured past our prime?
UK pounds here, never heard of a dime,
Mental health is in check, mostly feel fine,
Stranded on Earth, waiting for the sublime,
Anxiety at an all time high with no chair recline,
Gone are days of drinking, so its no to a beer stein,
Demanding your attention quickly like Seven of Nine,
Human horrors collected by AI, through a telephone line,
Are we all living incorrectly and on the wrong side of time?

A question posed and valid too. These times of rapid change are frightening when we can only guess the outcome. With AI that can do better what any person can do why try anymore, just sit back and watch. Will we fall into detached indifference? A good write
Thank you, yes strange times indeed.
You are welcome
Well, I'm past my sell by date, so........... lol.
Hahaha.
Shaun, this reads like a cultural inventory that crescendos into metaphysics. The rhyme keeps it playful, but the closing question opens something deeper. Philosophically, what even is “the wrong side”? If time is linear, cyclical, or even held outside itself by God, perhaps no side is wrong…only inhabited. That tension gives the piece weight beyond the humor. Well done, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks for the great comment.
I found an interesting write, they every dog has it's day, maybe we have had ours and ballsed it up royally, so now it's the machines turn to finish what we started, a frightening world we live in on many levels, enjoyed the read
Cheers!
You are very welcome
