O! lonely heart of a lover,
something you need to discover!
To whom you belong, at last,
for whom you beat, so fast.
Through ecstasy, agony you soar,
there is love in everything you pour.
You jump, skip, starve and race,
many challenges, you brace.
You glow, burn, break and blaze,
dodging insult as a passing phase.
Hungry for approval, expand on praise,
fiercely chasing this crazy craze.
Somewhere deep inside the chest,
when a spark awakens from its rest.
Once quiet it becomes possessed,
learns to beat at someone else’s behest.
Love strikes without a sound,
scatters and spins the world around.
Ecstasy arrives like a thunderclap,
lightning strikes, like a tight slap.
Each dusk seals a cruel fate,
In the desert of an endless wait.
Longing carves its shape in pain,
memories become a feast to sustain.
Like a merciless tyrant’s reign,
separation causes the deepest pain.
Time and the energy go down the drain,
the heart remains in a constant strain.
When the object of affection nears,
Murmur is lost and rhythm appears.
It voluntarily gives up all control,
it jumps, skips and elevates a soul.
Pounding like an untamed drum,
It beats with a reckless hum.
A lover’s heart is always mad.
It is not what a lover has had.
When it hears someone else’s name.
in a furnace, emotions go up in flame.
When the jealous green arrives,
slow acid seeps in and survives.
When it breaks without knowing the cause,
emotions wrestle in bittersweet sauce.
It makes his person turn and toss.
and it no longer feels like a boss.
Path of love is an untrodden road,
Sometimes narrow, sometimes broad.
Travel light without too much load,
keep going on, don’t get slowed.
It could be your final sojourn,
in the end, you might find no one.
This is a point of no return,
no space for an easy U-turn.
When a heart is forged, it’s hanging,
in the fire of love and longing.
It shapes through an arduous banging,
Mine or Thine, there is no belonging.
Once through this endless night,
every wound gets healed in light.
what a sight, you’re a shining knight.
You rose redeemed, in eternal fight.
You’re not the heart who sought
You’ve become Love, you fought.
You are hearty heart of a lover,
wholly, truly, and love forever.
O! lonely heart of a lover,
something you need to discover!
To whom you belong, at last,
for whom you beat so fast.
You are hearty heart of a lover,
wholly, truly, and love forever.

- Comment from author about the poem: Is becoming a lover's heart an arduous task? The answer is 'Yes'. Absolutely. It is the most arduous task a human heart can accept. It demands the surrender of autonomy. It requires the courage to be broken repeatedly. It asks the soul to endure the alchemy of fire, absence, arrhythmia, and acid—only to emerge, if it survives, as something luminous and vast. And yet… every page of romantic literature insists this ordeal is not punishment but initiation. The lover’s heart that has passed through these trials no longer belongs to the narrow self. It has become a temple large enough to house the divine, a sea deep enough to drown sorrow and still remain infinite, and a flame that burns without being consumed. To become a lover’s heart is to agree to be destroyed and rebuilt in the image of another. It is the hardest work and the highest calling. And when the beloved finally returns—or when the heart learns to love even in eternal absence—the reward is not mere happiness. It is transfiguration. The heart that has known these torments does not beat. It resonates. It does not love. It becomes love itself. And in that becoming, every scar, every skipped beat, every jealous flame, and every night of interminable waiting are revealed not as suffering but as the necessary chisel strokes of the Sculptor shaping a soul into something worthy of eternity. So yes—arduous beyond measure but worth every single, exquisite, shattering beat.
