Rise of the Dragon

Tristan Robert Lange

Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Friends, I’m doing my best to keep up with comments. 😅 I’m still current on my own poems and first replies on others’ work, but this season has been a bit of a twister. Figured I’d drop a quick note so you don’t think I’ve vanished or gone flaky.
Read. Write. Rise. Realize. 🤘💀🖤
The need to dive deep and descend to the summit—
To reach the peak inversion—
Is never to be understood by disassociative dullards.

The langauge of light is leaven—
A yeast that expands and rises as it consumes—
The bread made is light, fluffy and filled
With air pockets of cavernous darkness.

This is the body—
Physical, present, bulky—
Easy to bite into, chew.

Swallow.

The darkness is consumed with the light,
Snuffed out in an esohpageal enclosure,
A boa constrictor with an antimatter mouth—
Tyrannical is the throat of transfixion.

To dive deep,
To climb the descent of death—
To stare at the singualrity within
As it swallows light and shadows—
Is to face reality with the roar of a dragon.

To defeat the darkness
One must find the light from within,
Fire it up, let it swell,
And release it with relish.

Burn, baby, burn!

Scorch the dark skies to ashen clouds—
Watch them blow away—
The dragon rises and is here to stay.

Fascinated with the concept. Light from the view of a photon is immortal having no beginning and no end it has always been existing before the big bang as a singularity it lives without time. Being everywhere at once it is omnipresent. In religious terms it is an angel of light it is the word and as a poet then the written word is light to enlighten and thereby knowledge. so the dragon enters. A poem full of meaning.

Soren, your reflection elevates the piece by widening its lens. Photon as timeless presence, Word as light, poet as bearer of illumination…that triangulation, of course, deepens the dragon’s role. Grateful for the depth of your reading, as always, dear friend.. 🐉🔥⚡🙏

You are most welcome Tristan I just know that one of these next ones is going to be way off base and you will have to commit me.

        • Tristan Robert Lange

🤣 They'll commit me right along with you, my friend!

          The Old Glugger Dragon! lol.

          • Tristan Robert Lange

Glug the Glugging Dragon lived by the sea... That was the original maritime version of the song. ah-gah-gah-gah-glug-glug. Gag 🤮

          • GenXer Sharon 🙏🍀

This one is beyond intriguing! You’re extremely gifted my friend! Always love your work! Creative and just always look forward to the next one!!

            • Tristan Robert Lange

Sharon, that truly blesses me… knowing you not only connect but look forward to the next one says the poem is doing what it’s meant to do. This one came from a deep place, so your words carry weight. I’m grateful you’re along for the ride, my friend. 🐉🔥⚡🙏

            • Mutley Ravishes

Next level stuff, Tristan! I love the paradoxical nature of this.

              • Tristan Robert Lange

Mutley, I’ve always been drawn to paradox… the climb that feels like falling, the light that consumes darkness by swallowing it whole. So hearing you call that out tells me you felt the core of it. Your time and encouraging words are greatly appreciated, my friend. 🐉🔥⚡🙏

                • Mutley Ravishes

You`re welcome. We often hear that "God is in the details." Maybe it should be "God is in the paradox"?!

                  • Tristan Robert Lange

It absolutely SHOULD be "God is in the paradox". I know Søren Kierkegaard would agree. 😏

Thanks for telling me about Soren. I hadn`t heard of him. Have a great weekend!

Tristan, this is so very Dante Alighieri, it speaks of Heaven and Hell in a subtle yet extraordinary way. There is excitement and vision it's truly wonderful. 🌹

                      • Tristan Robert Lange

Teddy, wow… that comparison humbles me. Dante is towering terrain. If even a whisper of that heaven and hell tension came through, I’m grateful. Thank you for diving into it, dearest poet and friend. 🌹🐉🔥⚡🙏

                      • Dan Williams

Conjures images easy to imagine in reality, nearly alive. The Dragon is symbolic of so many things. "To defeat the darkness
One must find the light from within" is timeless wisdom. Nicely done.
