Whenever you try to fix something

There's a chance you'll make it worse

And have to call an expert

Who'll happily lighten your purse

There are things that need people with technical knowledge to be fixed, eg electrical, electronic, etc. Lord Finchley" by Hilaire Belloc, published around 1911. It humorously critiques wealthy individuals attempting DIY repairs instead of hiring professionals. A quote :
This is a famous four-line poem titled "Lord Finchley tried to mend the Electric Light
        Himself. It struck him dead:
        And serve him right!
It is the business of the wealthy man
To give employment to the artisan."
