"The Ayatollah is dead!"
will the Shah return
will the world burn
in a cauldron of religions
will an Orthodox groom
wed a liberal buffoon
and appease God knows who
for a fifty year revision
is it all just a hoax
to explode like a joke
in the arms of a Pope's
universal intentions
"We will see",
saith the witness

Questions that time will tell. A provocative poem that as all good poems do ask tough questions. With engaging rhyme it holds attention with pertinent questions about religion, culture and society. Nicely done and a fave
Thank you.
You are most welcome
Action surprising; outcome unknown. Prediction impossible. Thanks for pasting some of the most relevant elements up there though.
