Why then are we Here?

GenXer Sharon πŸ™πŸ€

Why are we here if we can’t open our hearts and minds? His word tells us to do this; or to at least try. To try and understand another’s person’s story; why are we here if we can’t give Him all the glory? To help each other when another is hurt; encouragement is what He asks us to disperse. Some things I know we will never fully understand; we’re not meant to know it all as we’re only human. Why are we here if all we’re going to do is tear each other down? That’s not in His word; that’s not what this life is about. I know there are times people simply will not like you; He doesn’t ask we tolerate this; He asks us to speak and seek the truth. Why are we here if all one is going to do is mistreat you anyway? Don’t you know Our Heavenly Fathers love? Have you heard what He’s had to say? Sometimes I know we’re not all going to get along; He only asks us to try and bring others closer to Him.

A wonderful poem of love and getting along with each other. Nicely written.

    Good write GS.
Yes - He can accept, and is worthy, of the glory. he can accept it surely in a non-sinful, non-vain boasting way. I think it serves to increase His greatness, goodness, love, etc - creatures worshipping their Creator.
Bur meanwhile - why am I here? or why did I marry KP, that 'creature', that 'pond life'?! heehee.

Sharon, this read like a heartfelt appeal. The repeated question keeps pressing forward…then you ground it in truth and responsibility. By the time we reach β€œHe only asks us to try and bring others closer to Him.” it feels like both challenge and comfort. Honest and faithful work. Well done, dearest friend. πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›
